Our Values
At Tec Water Supplies, we do more than just sell water systems—we build relationships. Since 1988, we’ve built our business on a foundation of trust, local knowledge, and genuine care for our customers. We believe in doing things right the first time and being there when you need us—whether that’s for a question, a repair, or a whole new system.
We’re here to help rural Saskatchewan thrive—one water system at a time.
What We DoOur Floc 100 System
That’s why we created the Floc 100 System, a two-step surface water treatment designed for efficiency and long-term performance.
Here’s how it works
- Air Injection and Coagulation: Surface water enters the Floc 100 tank and is mixed with a coagulant that alters the electrical charge of organic materials, making them clump together and become heavy.
- Separation: These particles settle to the bottom of the tank, allowing the cleaner water to be drawn off the top and ran through standard filtration and treatment without clogging or overloading your system.
We’re proud to offer our services to communities in need of clean water in an innovative and economical way. If you’re interested in our services, give us a shout!
The Process
Step 1: Contact
Give us a call! Before we can start this process, we need to know where your water source originates and what treatment it may need.
Step 2: The Learning Process
Does your source have aeration? Stationary bodies of water need air to stay clean, maintain temperature balance, and keep good bacteria flourishing.
Step 3: Testing
Step 4: Treatment Plan
History
Tec-Water was founded by Bill Kidd in June 1988.
In the beginning, Bill worked alongside a group of technicians who helped rural areas gain access to clean water. These technicians stepped up to this position after a government program providing this service shut down, leaving many farmers and small rural communities with no one to turn to.
When Bill was 16, he started doing apprentice work in aeration, physically blowing air with small pumps and hoses into dugouts left by road construction; people would use these areas for water storage and supply for acreages, farms, and livestock.
After working in the industry for two years, Bill started Tec-Water when he was 18 years old.
At the time, carbon chlorination systems were the standard for water treatment. However, because of the amount of organic materials and contaminants in dugout water, Bill quickly realized it wasn’t a good long-term solution.
In response, he went to work developing his own system, eventually patenting a flock system similar to the one used by the City of Regina, but miniature.
Today, Tec-Water brings clean water to various small communities, resorts, and Hutterite Colonies across Saskatchewan.
